The SDSM&T Alumni Association promotes communication and interaction among alumni, students, faculty and administrators of the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology with the objective of strengthening the school's academic, research and service roles. The Alumni Association also maintains an alumni network and support services for SDSM&T graduates and friends throughout the world.

The Outstanding Recent Graduate Program was established by the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology in 1984 to honor graduates who have achieved exemplary career progress and recognition within ten years of their graduation. 

Criteria for selection includes level of responsibility and entrepreneurial effort, advancement (promotion) in total responsibility, responsibility in research and authorship or patents and other evidence of creative activity, professional or business organization involvement, balance of technical and entrepreneurial accomplishments with community service and involvement, and company or community awards or recognition.

The class of 1962 is invited to reunite during commencement in May 2012.

 

With the 50 Year Graduate Reunion coming up in a few short months, we are gearing up and getting ready.

For those of you in the Class of 1962 or those whom started in 1958 as freshman, but graduated later...Please join us May 3-5, 2012.  This is an event you won't soon forget.
